TIVERTON SWIMMING OPEN SPRINT MEET

COMPETITION RULES
1) Competition will be held under ASA Laws & ASA Technical rules.
2) Pool length 25m - 6 Lane, anti-wave lanes and electronic timing.
3) Ages at 20 July 2008. The 9 yrs age group is for swimmers who will be 9 on 20 July 2008 (this is not a 9 years and under age group).
4) All events will be swum in heats seeded from entry times.
5) Finals will be swum in individual age groups for Freestyle, Breaststroke, and Backstroke and Butterfly events.
6) 4 x 1 Individual Medley events will be HDW based on individual age groups.
7) There will be awards to six places for each age group.
8) Entries may be limited to the first 1400 to ensure that the Meet runs within allowed session times and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
9) The Meet will run without cards. Swimmers must confirm their arrival and intention to swim one hour before the session start time.
10) Competitors will be required to report to the marshalling area six heats before the own. Competitors for the first event in each session must report to the marshalling area immediately after warm-up.
11) The Learner Pool is not in use during the course of the Open Meet.
12) Outdoor shoes and eating are not permitted on the poolside.
13) Entry fees will be £4.50 per event. The spectator charge is included in the entry fee – programmes can be purchased on the day (£1). Coach Passes £10.00 each. (No more than 2 coach passes per club.)
14) Closing date for entries will be 14th June 2008. No late entries accepted. (Incomplete entries will be returned: do not forget date of birth, and ensure the age group column is completed.) Changes to the date of birth will not be accepted on the day.
15) Tiverton SC will be using a computer to manage entries and results. By submitting entries and accepting entry to the meet, consent is herby given to the holding of personal information on a computer, as required by the Data Protection Act of 1998. Personal data such as name, club, date of birth, submitted time and achieved time maybe made public before, during or after the meet.
16) Competitors cannot withdraw from an event once they have declared they are swimming without forfeiting following events.
