Welcome to Tiverton Swimming Club

Tiverton Swimming Club aims to promote the sport of swimming by providing a training program to help swimmers reach their full competitive potential according to their individual levels of ambition, ability and application. The club caters for swimmers of all ages and abilities with a progressive coaching program leading through our squad structure. Various levels of competition are catered for with training tailored to suit, from in-house galas and team league competitions, through to county, regional and, ultimately, national competition level.


Race Night Update – the next CSA Race Night will be on Wed 8th July. Please can swimmers register by 5:55 to be included.
Want to volunteer but don't know where to start?
The club is looking for volunteers to become timekeepers so that we can continue to hold events like the Club Championships. A timekeeper course will be held at the Leisure Centre on Wednesday 8th July at 7pm and will finish at 8.30pm

Devon Inter-Club Gala
A fantastic effort by TSC swimmers meant that the club finished 5th overall in this annual event which sees clubs from all over Devon compete. Not surprisingly the winners were Plymouth Leander with Exeter following in second place.

TSC's Regional Swimmers exploits feature in the papers
Nine of our swimmers represented the club at the ASA South West Region Youth and Age Group Championships this year. Sam and Phoebe made the finals and everyone got at least one PB. Well done all!


Club Championships 2015
This year's Club Champs will take place over three Sundays in June/July:
Session 1 – Sun 21st June 4-7pm
Session 2 – Sun 12th July 4-7pm
Session 3 – Sun 19th July 4-7pm

Our very own Devon County ASA President
Sue Haigh took over the reins as the President of the Devon ASA at a ceremony held in May. The Devon President is elected annually, chairs meetings of the Devon County swimming committees & attends events throughout the county presenting medals and trophies. Congratulations Sue!

Busy Easter for TSC swimmers
The easter holidays saw TSC successfully represented at open meets in both Weston-Super-Mare and Millfield (City of Wells) as well as the Level 1 meet in Bristol.
Lots of medals and regional times etc - too many to call out individually!

Swim Bournemouth Open Meet
A small team travelled to Bournemouth for a very competitive Level 2 event at the end of March. Swimming against some big clubs from all over the south of England, TSC swimmers brought home 7 Bronze medals, 2 Silvers and a Gold.

The first Race Night results of 2015
Club swimmers in the news (x3!)
Mini League
Round 3 saw Torridgeside come out as the team on top with 147 pts.
Barnstaple (127 pts) narrowly pushed Crediton (121 pts) back into third, while Tiverton brought up the rear with 89 pts.
Well done to all the swimmers and the poolside team.


Devon County Relays and Sprints
The first weekend in March saw fine performances from the two boys relay teams on Saturday followed by more great racing on Sunday by 13 of the clubs younger swimmers in the sprints.
Medals went to the boys 11/12 relay team (Silver x 2); Jodie D (Gold and Bronze) and Jack A (Silver)

Devon County A.S.A Championships 2015
19 swimmers from Tiverton entered 82 events over 6 days of racing and came away with 30 medals and nearly 40 PBs.

The results of the second mini league event are now available.
After a closely fought contest first place went to Barnstaple with 144 pts followed by Torridgeside 143. Tiverton came in third on 101 and then Crediton with a creditable 95.
Well done to all the swimmers and the poolside team.
